Is the Mast Archer good for beginners?

Yes, it is a reasonable first machine. The 3.5 mm stroke handles lining and shading, voltage is adjustable from 5 to 12V, and the kit includes 50 cartridges so you can start without buying needles separately.

How long does the battery last?

Mast does not publish a runtime figure for the Archer, and it depends on the voltage you run. Expect shorter sessions at 12V than at lower settings, and plan on charging between clients.

Does it work with standard cartridges?

Yes. It takes standard cartridge needles, and the kit ships with 50. The two replaceable grips let you swap grip size or replace a worn grip.
