Questions and answers

Is the Mayfield AMF1817 rug actually machine washable?

Yes. Mayfield lists it as machine washable and spot cleanable. Use a cold, gentle cycle and air dry or tumble low, since heat can damage the non-skid backing.

Does it work on a covered porch?

Mayfield lists covered outdoor placement and UV stabilization, so fading is slowed. It is not meant for open rain or full sun exposure.

Will the backing slide on hardwood?

The latex non-skid backing is designed to grip hard floors without a separate pad. On very smooth or polished surfaces, a thin pad still helps.

Is it safe for a household with latex allergies?

No. The listing states the rug contains latex, so people with latex sensitivity should choose another rug.

What sizes and shapes come in this line?

Rectangle, runner and round shapes are offered, with an 8-foot square and a 9-by-12 rectangle among the sizes and a 7-foot-6 runner.

Is $40.48 a good price?

It is the only new price listed as of November 8, 2026, at Overstock, so there is no recent range to compare against. Treat it as the current market price rather than a proven discount.
