Our take on the Mega Pokemon Dragonite Building Set

This is a Mega building set that builds a poseable Dragonite about 8 inches tall, with wings that flap via an included Motion Brick. It is aimed at Pokemon fans and builders aged 8 and up and released in 2023. The set includes a small buildable environment, and the Motion Brick runs on batteries that are not included. At $40.00 at Walmart as of November 5, 2026, it is the only new price listed, so there is no recent range to compare it against.

Questions and answers

Is the Mega Dragonite set worth it?
At $40.00 at Walmart as of November 5, 2026, it is a fair price for a licensed set with a working motion brick. It suits fans who want a buildable Dragonite that flaps its wings, not a highly detailed collector statue.
Does it need batteries?
Yes. The Motion Brick that flaps the wings requires batteries, and they are not included. Plan to add them before the first build.
How big is the finished Dragonite?
It stands about 8 inches tall. That makes it a desk or shelf display piece rather than a large centerpiece.
What age is this set for?
Mega recommends it for ages 8 and up. Younger kids can help build but may need help with the motion brick.
Does it work with other Mega Pokemon sets?
Yes. It uses standard-sized Mega blocks, so it can be combined with other Mega Pokemon builds, including the Countryside Windmill set.
What is in the box?
The box contains the Dragonite build, a Motion Brick and a small buildable environment. Batteries are not included.
Where is the Mega Pokemon Dragonite Building Set cheapest?
At Walmart, for $40.00, as of our latest check.
What do buyers say about the Mega Pokemon Dragonite Building Set?
Rated 4.6 out of 5 from 170 ratings.
