Is the MEGAWISE kettle really 2L or 1.8L?

The listing name says 2L, but the specs give 1.8 L water capacity, which is about seven cups. Plan on 1.8 L per boil.

Does it shut off by itself?

Yes. It has automatic shut-off at boiling and boil-dry protection that cuts power if the kettle runs empty.

Can I put it in the dishwasher?

No. The glass body has an electric base and cordless contacts, so wash it by hand; a handheld sponge brush is included.

Does it work on 220V outlets?

No. It is rated 120 V, so it is for US and Canada outlets only.

Is $22.04 a good price?

It is low for a 1.8 L glass kettle; comparable glass models often sell for $30 to $50. Three stores price it new, so compare before buying.

What comes in the box?

The kettle, its cordless power base and a handheld sponge brush for cleaning.

Our take on the MEGAWISE 2L Glass Electric Kettle

The MEGAWISE is a cordless 120V electric kettle with a borosilicate glass body and a blue LED light that glows while it heats. It holds 1.8 L, enough for about seven cups, and shuts off automatically when the water boils or the kettle runs dry. The best new price is $22.04 at Amazon as of November 5, 2026, with three stores listing it new. That sits at the low end for a glass kettle of this size, where most name-brand 1.7 to 1.8 L models run $30 to $50.
