Is the Fresh Mart Grocery Store worth it?

If you have the floor space and a child in the 3 to 6 range, the moving conveyor belt and cash drawer make it more engaging than a plain play kitchen. At $147.49 at Walmart as of November 7, 2026, it is a reasonable price for a wooden set this size.

How long does assembly take?

Plan on roughly one to two hours with a screwdriver. Several owners say the instructions are workable but the build is slow, so assemble it before a birthday or holiday.

Does it come with play food?

No. The set includes the store structure, cash drawer, card swipe and conveyor belt. Play groceries and a toy cash register are sold separately.

What batteries does it need?

The card swipe takes AA batteries, which are not included. The conveyor belt and cash drawer are hand-operated and need no power.

How much space does it need?

About 32 inches wide, 25 inches deep and 35.5 inches tall assembled. Leave clearance in front for the conveyor and behind for the shelving.

Toy prices usually dip during Black Friday and pre-holiday sales. The current best is $147.49 at Walmart as of November 7, 2026, and 8 stores list it new.
