Our take on the Meriglare Dance Mat Toy Electronic Dance Mat Dancing Mat Game Blanket Dance Pad with Light

The Meriglare Electronic Dance Mat is a light-up floor pad for kids that plays a follow-the-arrows dance game, similar to arcade dance games at home. It is a toy-grade pad, not a fitness or console accessory, so expect simple built-in songs and arrow prompts rather than downloadable tracks. The listing's clothing-style specs (mini length, birthday occasion, women's sizing) do not describe the mat and should be ignored. No current store price was provided, so check the price history before buying.

Questions and answers

Is it worth buying?
For a young child who likes dancing, yes, as a low-cost gift. Adults and teens will find the songs and difficulty too limited.
Does it work with a game console?
No. It is a standalone toy with built-in songs and does not connect to a PlayStation, Xbox or Switch.
How big is the mat?
It is sized for children, so check the listed dimensions before buying. Adults will not fit comfortably on the arrow zones.
Does it need batteries?
Most mats in this class run on batteries or a small USB adapter. Confirm the power source in the listing before you buy.
When is it cheapest?
Toy mats like this usually drop around Black Friday, back-to-school and pre-holiday sales. Set a price alert and compare stores.
