Questions and answers
- Does this bed need a box spring?
- No. The wood slat support holds the mattress directly, so a box spring is not required.
- What mattress thickness works with a low-profile platform bed?
- A standard 8 to 12 inch king mattress sits well on a low-profile frame. A very thick mattress can make the headboard look short.
- How much weight does it hold?
- The frame is rated for up to 1,000 lb.
- Is assembly hard?
- Assembly is required and the frame weighs 134.5 lb, so plan for two people. The tufted headboard and slats add steps beyond a simple metal frame.
- Is there a warranty?
- No written warranty is listed. Confirm the seller's return window before ordering.
- Will the velvet hold up with pets?
- Velvet is soft but collects pet hair and lint. Brush it regularly, and keep claws away from the tufted headboard.
