Is the Nova 3 Tactical Mid actually waterproof?

Yes. It uses a waterproof membrane under the mesh and synthetic upper, so rain, wet grass and shallow puddles are fine. It is not a wading boot, and water can still enter over the collar.

How does it compare with the regular Nova 3?

The Tactical Mid adds a taller ankle shaft and tactical styling to the Nova 3 platform. Expect similar cushioning and grip but more ankle coverage and a bit more weight.

What size should I order?

Merrell boots generally run true to size for most men, and this is a medium width. If you wear thick hiking socks or have wide feet, consider a half size up.

Can I use it for trail running?

It can handle light jogging on trails, but the mid shaft and stiffer build make it better for hiking and walking than for regular running.

One pair of boots with the factory laces. Insoles are included; socks and care products are not.

When is the best time to buy?

Watch the price history around seasonal sales and end-of-season clearances. Compare across stores, since tactical colorways often drop further than core colors.

Our take on the Merrell 男式 Nova 3 战术中筒防水军靴

The Merrell Nova 3 Tactical Mid is a men's mid-height hiking boot built for trail and duty use, with a waterproof membrane, mesh-and-synthetic upper, foam insole and rubber outsole. It sits on a 1.5-inch block heel with a 10.5-inch shaft circumference and lace-up closure. It is a tactical-styled Nova, so it favors grip and weather protection over lightweight running feel.
