Is this grinder worth it over a cheaper brushed model?

If you use it often, yes. The brushless motor runs cooler and avoids brush changes, which matters for repeated cutting and grinding. For occasional light use, a cheaper brushed grinder can be enough.

Does it take standard 4.5 in. wheels?

Yes. It uses 4.5 in. wheels with a 5/8-in. arbor, which covers most cutting and grinding discs sold in the US.

Is it too heavy for one-handed use?

At 6.2 lbs it is manageable for short cuts but tiring overhead or one-handed. Use two hands for long grinding passes.

What comes in the box?

The grinder and a case. Check the listing for whether a side handle, wrench or wheels are included.

When is the price lowest?

Corded grinders usually dip during holiday sales and store-wide tool events. Check the price history chart before buying.

Does it have a variable speed dial?

The listed specs show a sliding switch, not a variable speed dial. Treat it as a single-speed grinder unless the listing says otherwise.
