Questions and answers

Is the Midea counter-depth side-by-side worth it?
It is a strong value if you want counter-depth styling and a self-filling water pitcher without paying premium-brand prices. At $898.99 at Appliance Solutions as of November 5, 2026, it undercuts most counter-depth side-by-sides. Expect narrower shelves than a standard-depth fridge.
How is it different from a standard-depth side-by-side?
It is about 28.9 inches deep, so it sits closer to your cabinets instead of jutting into the aisle. The trade-off is less usable depth inside, even though the listed capacity is 24.5 cu. ft.
Does it need a water line?
Yes. The AutoFill pitcher and ice maker both need a water supply connection. The pitcher refills automatically, so you do not have to open the door to fill it.
Will it fit a standard 36-inch space?
It is 35.8 inches wide and 69.9 inches high, so it fits most standard 36-inch openings. Measure your depth clearance too, since the doors and handles add to the 28.9-inch body depth.
When is the best time to buy it?
Appliance prices often dip around major holiday sales and during new-model rollouts. The current best new price is $898.99 at Appliance Solutions as of November 5, 2026; check the price history before buying.
Where is the Midea 24.5 Cu. Ft. Counter-Depth Side-by-Side Refrigerator with AutoFill Water Pitcher cheapest?
At ABC Warehouse, for $896.00, as of our latest check.
Where can I buy the Midea 24.5 Cu. Ft. Counter-Depth Side-by-Side Refrigerator with AutoFill Water Pitcher?
