Is the Mikolo Horus Smith Machine worth $1,979.98?

At $1,979.98 at Walmart as of November 5, 2026, it is a reasonable price for a steel Smith machine with a 2,200 lb rating and a weight stack. Whether it is worth it depends on whether you want a guided bar path and stack resistance rather than free weights.

How much weight can the Mikolo Horus hold?

Mikolo rates the Horus at a 2,200 lb max load, with maximum resistance also listed at 2,200 lb. That is far above what most home lifters will use.

Does the Horus use plates or a weight stack?

It uses a weight stack for resistance, so you change weight by moving a pin rather than loading plates. The Smith bar itself still needs plates if you want to load it.

How much space do I need for this Smith machine?

The unit weighs about 1,000 lb, so plan for a dedicated footprint with room around the bar and stack. Check the assembled dimensions against your ceiling height before ordering.

Is assembly difficult?

It ships as 15 pieces in steel, and a 1,000 lb machine typically needs two or more people plus tools for assembly. Budget a full day and consider professional delivery and setup.

When is the Mikolo Horus cheapest?

Only one new price was tracked as of November 5, 2026: $1,979.98 at Walmart. Large home gym equipment often drops during holiday sales, so watch for Black Friday and January promotions.

Our take on the Mikolo Horus Smith Machine

The Mikolo Horus is a home Smith machine built from steel with a 2,200 lb max load rating and a weight-stack resistance system. It targets full-body strength work and is rated for residential, commercial and gym use, with a 1,000 lb unit weight that signals a heavy, anchored frame. The best new price is $1,979.98 at Walmart as of November 5, 2026, the only new listing tracked. That puts it in the mid-to-upper range for a home Smith machine with a stack, well below plate-loaded commercial rigs.
