Is the Milwaukee 3017-20 worth it?

Yes if you already own M18 batteries, especially High Output packs. At $168.00 at Amazon as of November 3, 2026, it is a strong price for 500 CFM and 120 MPH. If you are starting from zero, budget for a battery and charger.

Does it come with a battery and charger?

No. It is tool only. The box has the blower and nothing else, so you need an M18 battery and charger, ideally the REDLITHIUM HIGH OUTPUT HD12.0 for best power and run time.

How long does the battery last?

Milwaukee lists 18 to 30 minutes of run time depending on the pack and speed. A 12.0Ah High Output battery gives the longest runs. For large properties, carry a spare pack.

How does it compare to the previous M18 blower?

The 3017-20 steps up to 500 CFM and 120 MPH with a brushless motor and full throttle in under a second, and it runs at 54 dB(A). It is the more powerful, quieter choice for routine professional cleanups.

Can it vacuum or mulch leaves?

No. It is a blower only, with no vacuum or mulching capability. For collection you need a separate vacuum or a rake.

Tool-only blowers tend to drop during fall leaf season and holiday sales. As of November 3, 2026, the best new price is $168.00 at Amazon, near the low end of its recent range.
