Our take on the Milwaukee 3697-27 M18 FUEL 7-Tool Combo Kit

The Milwaukee 3697-27 bundles seven M18 FUEL cordless tools around two 18V lithium-ion batteries, a charger and a contractor bag. The core pieces are the 2953-20 impact driver and 2904-20 hammer drill, both brushless, plus an angle grinder rated at 8,500 RPM and an LED work light. It is a heavy kit at about 41 lb, aimed at people who want one battery platform across drilling, fastening, cutting and grinding. At $949 at Home Depot as of November 4, 2026, it sits at the top of its recent price range, so it is not a markdown moment.

Pros

  • Only two batteries for seven tools
  • No mention of a circular saw or reciprocating saw in the listed components
  • At $949 it is priced near the top of its recent range
  • M18 batteries and chargers add cost if you expand later

Questions and answers

Is the Milwaukee 3697-27 kit worth it?
If you need several cordless tools and want to stay on one battery platform, the kit bundles two batteries, a charger and a bag at $949 at Home Depot as of November 4, 2026. Buying the tools separately usually costs more, but check whether you actually need all seven.
What tools are in the box?
The listing names the 2953-20 impact driver, the 2904-20 hammer drill, an angle grinder and an LED work light among seven tools, plus two 18V batteries, a charger and a contractor bag. Confirm the full tool list with the store before ordering.
How does it compare with the previous M18 combo kit?
This is the FUEL version, so the drill and driver use brushless motors rather than the brushed motors on older base M18 kits. That means more runtime and longer motor life, at a higher price.
How many batteries does it include?
Two 18V lithium-ion batteries and a charger. With seven tools, that means rotating batteries between tools or buying spares for all-day work.
Is it too heavy for home use?
The kit weighs about 41 lb with the bag, so it is better suited to a truck or shop than to carrying around a house. For occasional light jobs, a smaller kit is easier to handle.
When is it cheapest?
Combo kits like this usually drop during holiday sales and Milwaukee promotions. At $949 as of November 4, 2026, it is near the top of its recent range, so waiting for a sale is reasonable if you are not in a hurry.
