Our take on the Milwaukee 48-59-1809 M18 PACKOUT Charger with FREE 48-11-1850 M18 Battery Pack

The Milwaukee 48-59-1809 is a PACKOUT-compatible M18 charger that charges up to six M18 batteries at once, and it ships with a free 5.0Ah REDLITHIUM XC battery. The six-bay design and PACKOUT mounting make it a shop or van charging station rather than a bag charger. It runs on standard 120V AC wall power and only works with Milwaukee's M18 battery system.

Questions and answers

Is the free battery really included?
Yes. The listing bundles one 5.0Ah M18 REDLITHIUM XC battery with the charger at no extra charge.
How many batteries can it charge at once?
Six. It is a six-bay rapid charger, so a full set of M18 packs can be topped up in one session.
Does it work with M12 batteries?
No. It is an M18-only charger and will not accept M12 packs.
Can I mount it on a PACKOUT stack?
Yes. The charger is built to attach to the PACKOUT modular system for van or shop mounting.
Does it need a power outlet?
Yes. It is a corded wall-powered charger, not a battery-powered one, so it needs 120V AC.
Is it worth it over a single-bay charger?
If you run several M18 tools and want packs ready without swapping, the six bays and the included 5.0Ah battery make it a better value than a basic charger.
