Our take on the Milwaukee 9-1/2 in. L Metal Right Angle Drill Attachment

The Milwaukee 48-32-2390 is a 1/4 in hex right-angle adapter that lets a drill or impact driver reach screws and bits in tight spots where a straight tool won't fit. It uses a custom alloy steel body with an internal shockzone that absorbs peak torque to resist breakage, and a magnet holds the bit in place. It is about 6 in long and weighs 0.3 lb, so it adds little bulk to the tool. The best new price is $24.50 at Amazon as of November 4, 2026, with 4 stores listing it new.

Best forDriving screws in cabinets and tight corners
Impact driver and drill driver owners
Plumbers and electricians working between studs
Occasional DIY tight-access jobs
Pros
  • Fits standard 1/4 in hex chucks on drills and impact drivers
  • Internal shockzone absorbs peak torque to reduce breakage
  • Magnet retains the bit so it doesn't drop out
  • Compact 6 in length and 0.3 lb weight
Cons
  • Adds length and a slight angle offset that can wobble at high speed
  • Not for heavy drilling; it is an adapter, not a full right-angle drill
  • 1/4 in hex only, so no standard chuck bits

What reviewers say

Owners of this adapter generally find it a solid, durable way to drive fasteners in tight spaces with tools they already own. Some note it is not a substitute for a dedicated right-angle drill under heavy load.

Pros
  • Holds bits securely thanks to the magnet
  • Survives impact driver torque without breaking
  • Saves buying a separate right-angle drill
Cons
  • Can feel loose or wobbly at high RPM
  • Limited to 1/4 in hex bits

Questions and answers

Will it fit my Milwaukee impact driver?
Yes. It has a 1/4 in hex shank that fits standard impact drivers and drill drivers, including Milwaukee's. It is not meant for tools with a keyed chuck only.
Can I use it for drilling holes, not just driving screws?
It works for light drilling with hex-shank bits, but it is designed mainly for driving fasteners in tight access. For sustained drilling, a dedicated right-angle drill is the better tool.
How is this different from a right-angle drill?
This is an adapter that turns your existing drill or impact driver 90 degrees. A right-angle drill is a complete tool with its own motor and chuck, built for heavier continuous work.
What is in the box?
The adapter itself, Milwaukee part 48-32-2390. Bits are not included.
Is $24.50 a good price?
That is the best new price among 4 stores as of November 4, 2026. It is a reasonable price for a branded impact-rated adapter; check the other stores for shipping costs before deciding.
