Our take on the Milwaukee M18 18V Lithium-Ion Brushless Cordless 7-1/4 in. Circular Saw with (2) 6.0 Ah Batteries and Charger

The Milwaukee M18 circular saw is an 18V cordless 7-1/4 in. saw with a brushless motor, a worm-drive layout and a right-side blade. It spins at 5,000 RPM and bevels to 50 degrees. The kit ships with two 6.0 Ah batteries and a charger, so it runs as a two-battery setup out of the box. At $299 at Home Depot as of November 4, 2026, it is the only new price listed, so there is no recent range to compare it against.

Pros

  • Worm-drive layout with the blade on the right, familiar to framing crews
  • 50-degree bevel capacity covers common angle cuts

Cons
  • Heavy for a 7-1/4 in. cordless saw, especially with a 6.0 Ah pack
  • Right-side blade puts the cut line on the far side for some users
  • No blade brake or rafter hook listed in the specs
  • Kit price is high next to bare-tool or single-battery options
  • Only one store lists a new price, so comparison shopping is limited

Questions and answers

Is the Milwaukee M18 circular saw worth $299 as a kit?
At $299 at Home Depot as of November 4, 2026, you get the saw plus two 6.0 Ah batteries and a charger. If you already own M18 batteries, a bare tool usually costs less. If you are starting fresh, the kit is the simpler buy.
How does it compare with a rear-handle or sidewinder saw?
This is a worm-drive-style saw with the blade on the right, which many framers prefer for balance and cut visibility. A standard sidewinder is lighter and cheaper but typically has less torque at the blade.
How long do the two 6.0 Ah batteries last?
Runtime depends on the material. Expect a 6.0 Ah pack to handle a solid run of 2x framing cuts before a swap, and the kit's second battery keeps you working while one charges.
What comes in the box?
The saw, two M18 6.0 Ah lithium-ion batteries and a charger. A blade and case are not listed in the specs, so check before you rely on them.
What size blade and arbor does it take?
It uses a 7-1/4 in. blade, the standard size for framing saws. Confirm the arbor size on the blade you buy matches the saw's spindle.
When is the best time to buy?
Milwaukee kits often drop during holiday and spring tool events. With only one new price listed as of November 4, 2026, watch for bundle promotions rather than a lower sticker.
Where is the Milwaukee M18 18V Lithium-Ion Brushless Cordless 7-1/4 in. Circular Saw with (2) 6.0 Ah Batteries and Charger cheapest?
At Home Depot, for $299.00, 46% off, as of our latest check.
