Our take on the Milwaukee M18 FUEL Combo Kit with Brad Nailer & Jig Saw

The Milwaukee M18 FUEL 9-Tool Combo Kit bundles cordless tools on the M18 18V battery platform, including a brad nailer and a jig saw. Every tool uses brushless FUEL motors, which run cooler and last longer than brushed motors. Buying the tools as a kit costs far less than buying each one separately, and all share the same lithium-ion batteries. It suits someone starting a tool collection or a crew standardizing on M18.

Cons
  • Large upfront cost compared with one or two tools

  • You may pay for tools you rarely use

Questions and answers

Is the 9-tool kit worth it over buying tools separately?
Usually yes if you need most of the nine tools. Kit pricing is well below the sum of the individual tools, and you get batteries and a charger in one purchase. If you only need the nailer and jig saw, buy those two alone.
What battery does the M18 FUEL kit use?
It runs on Milwaukee's M18 18V lithium-ion batteries. The same packs fit every tool in the kit and the rest of the M18 lineup.
Does the brad nailer need a compressor?
No. It is a cordless battery-powered nailer, so no hose or compressor is needed. You only load brad nails and a battery.
Can I use the jig saw for metal and plastic?
Yes, with the right blade. The jig saw takes standard T-shank blades, so wood, plastic and metal blades all fit.
What comes in the box?
The kit includes the nine tools, M18 lithium-ion batteries and a charger. Confirm the exact tool list and battery count on the listing before you buy.
When is the kit cheapest?
Milwaukee kit prices tend to drop during holiday sales and store promotions. Check the price history before buying to see whether the current price is near its low.
