This is a Milwaukee M18 starter kit: one 5.0 Ah REDLITHIUM XC battery plus the 48-59-1812 M18 charger. The XC5.0 packs Milwaukee's larger cell format, rated for up to 2.5X the runtime of standard lithium-ion packs, with an onboard fuel gauge and overload protection. It fits every M18 tool, so it works as a first battery or a spare for a growing kit. At $93.75 at Walmart as of November 7, 2026, it sits well below what a battery-and-charger pair usually costs.

Lowest price we've seen: $93.75 on Nov 7 at Walmart. Tracked across 18 stores since Nov 7.
Rated 4.6 out of 5 from about 1,200 ratings, the kit is well regarded as a dependable entry into the M18 system. Owners like the runtime and the fuel gauge; the main gripes are weight and getting just one battery.
