Our take on the MLILY Ego Black Gel Memory Foam Mattress

The MLILY Ego Black is a gel-infused memory foam mattress sold in six sizes and three thicknesses (10, 12 and 14 inches). The gel layer is meant to pull heat away from the body, and the all-foam build needs no box spring. The best new price is $104.39 at eBay as of November 5, 2026, well below what a queen usually costs from most sellers.

Pros
  • Gel-infused foam aims to sleep cooler than plain memory foam
  • Three thickness options let you pick firmness and height
  • Ships compressed in a box and expands on its own
  • Works on a platform bed, slats or an adjustable base
  • Wide size range from Twin to California King
Cons
  • All-foam build can feel soft and sink for heavy sleepers
  • Memory foam may sleep warm for some despite the gel
  • Edge support is weaker than a coil mattress
  • Off-gassing smell is common in the first days after unboxing

Questions and answers

Is the MLILY Ego Black good for side sleepers?
Yes, the soft memory foam cushions shoulders and hips. Heavier side sleepers may want the 12- or 14-inch version for more support.
Does the gel foam really sleep cool?
It helps compared with plain memory foam, but it is still an all-foam bed. Hot sleepers should pair it with breathable sheets and a cool room.
What thickness should I choose?
The 10-inch suits kids and guest rooms, the 12-inch is the common pick for adults, and the 14-inch gives the most support for heavier sleepers.
Does it need a box spring?
No. It works on a platform bed, slatted frame or adjustable base. A box spring is optional.
How long does it take to expand?
It usually reaches full shape within 24 to 72 hours after unboxing. Sleeping on it sooner is fine.
When is the price lowest?
Foam mattresses tend to drop during holiday sales and clearance events. Check the price history before buying.
