Our take on the Modern Forms Helix Outdoor Wall Light

The Modern Forms Helix is a two-light, direct-wired outdoor wall sconce in a bronze finish, 8.5 inches wide and about 17 inches tall. It is dimmable and uses up to 8 watts per light, so it runs on LED bulbs rather than high-wattage incandescent. At $180 at eBay as of November 6, 2026, it sits at the low end of what the three stores listing it new charge.

Pros
  • Dimmable, so brightness can be matched to the evening
  • Two lights spread light up and down the wall
  • Slim 8.5-inch width fits narrow wall spaces
  • Bronze finish suits most exterior palettes
  • Low 8-watt-per-light draw keeps energy use down
Cons
  • Direct wiring means an electrician or existing junction box is needed
  • 8-watt cap limits brightness per light
  • Bronze finish can show dust and water spots outdoors
  • Few stores stock it new, so price comparison is limited
