The ModernMate 31.5" Travertine-Look Coffee Table is a square, low-profile table with a faux-travertine top and a metal X-frame base, sized at 31.5 inches wide and deep and 15.75 inches tall. It brings an organic-modern look without the weight or cost of real stone. Assembly is required and it ships in one package. Questions and answers

Is $399 a good price for this table?
It is the only new price listed, at ModernMate as of November 3, 2026, so there is no lower competing price to compare it to. Faux-travertine tables of this size commonly sell in the $250 to $450 range, so $399 sits in the upper-middle.
How big is it next to a sofa?
At 31.5 inches square and 15.75 inches tall, it sits at or just below most sofa seat heights. It leaves about 18 inches of walkway if placed 14 to 18 inches from the sofa.
Does it need assembly?
Yes. The top and X-frame base arrive in one package and need to be bolted together. Expect a simple job with the included hardware, roughly 20 to 30 minutes.
Is the top real travertine?
No. It is a travertine-look finish, not stone. That keeps the weight and price down, but it will not have the veining variation or cool feel of real travertine.
Will it hold up in a busy living room?
The metal X-frame is the sturdy part; the faux-stone top is the wear point. Use coasters and felt pads, and avoid dragging it, since the finish can chip at the edges.
When is it cheapest?
ModernMate is the only listed seller, so watch for sitewide sales and holiday promotions rather than store-to-store price gaps. There is no second price to force a match.
Where is the ModernMate 31.5" Travertine-Look Coffee Table cheapest?
At ModernMate, for $399.00, as of our latest check.
