- Is the Modway Quimby chair good for a living room?
- Yes. It is an accent chair meant for lounging and reading, and the swivel base lets you turn toward a TV, window or conversation area. It is not built as a desk or dining chair.
- Does it really swivel a full 360 degrees?
- Yes. The chair sits on a metal swivel base that turns a full circle, so you can rotate it in place without moving the chair.
- What is the seat upholstered in?
- The seat and back are covered in chenille fabric, listed in brown and beige colorways. Chenille is soft but shows wear, so keep it away from rough pet claws.
- How much does the Modway Quimby cost?
- The best new price is $412.98 at The Home Depot as of November 7, 2026. Three stores list it new, so compare before buying.
- Does the chair require assembly?
- Yes. The chair ships unassembled and the base and seat need to be put together. Set aside time and a second person for the base.
