The Momeni Illusions Rug is a hand-tufted wool area rug in a contemporary style, sized 8 by 11 feet with a 0.5-inch medium pile. It is built for indoor use and marketed as stain resistant, with vacuum-only care. Pros
  • Hand-tufted wool construction at a low price
  • Large 8x11 footprint covers most seating areas
  • Medium 0.5-inch pile is soft underfoot but not shaggy
  • Stain-resistant treatment suits everyday spills
  • Works in living rooms, bedrooms and hallways
Cons
  • Vacuum-only care; no machine washing or deep cleaning at home
  • Wool can shed and pilling is common on hand-tufted rugs

  • Not ideal for kitchens or high-moisture areas despite the listed uses
  • No stated warranty or backing detail

Questions and answers

Is $81.74 a good price for this rug?
It is the best new price across 5 stores as of November 7, 2026, at Overstock. Hand-tufted wool rugs in 8x11 usually cost several hundred dollars, so confirm the listing is the full 8x11 size before ordering.
What size is the Momeni Illusions Rug?
The listed size is 8 feet wide by 11 feet long, with a 0.5-inch pile. A separate 8-foot runner length is also listed, so check which size a given listing sells.
How do you clean a hand-tufted wool rug?
Vacuum regularly without a beater bar on high suction. For spills, blot promptly; the rug is listed as stain resistant, but deep cleaning should go to a professional.
Does it shed?
New hand-tufted wool rugs typically shed loose fibers for the first few months. Regular vacuuming reduces it, and shedding usually settles with use.
Can it go in a kitchen or hallway?
It is listed for those rooms, but wool and a medium pile are less practical in wet or greasy areas. A flatweave or synthetic rug holds up better there.
What is it made of?
It is 100% wool, hand-tufted, with a medium 0.5-inch pile. It is for indoor use only.
Where is the Momeni Illusions Rug cheapest?
At Overstock, for $81.74, 48% under what the other stores charge, as of our latest check.
Where can I buy the Momeni Illusions Rug?
13 stores we checked sell it, including Overstock, Walmart, Kohl's, Rug Goddess, eBay.
