Is it worth it over a regular e-bike?

If balance is the concern, yes. Three wheels mean you never put a foot down at stops. If you mainly ride smooth roads and want speed, a two-wheel e-bike is lighter and cheaper.

How does it compare with a non-folding electric trike?

The folding frame is the main difference. It stores smaller and fits in a car or RV, but the hinge adds weight and a part to check over time.

What is the battery range?

Range depends on assist level, rider weight and terrain. Expect noticeably less on hills, in cold weather or with heavy cargo, so plan shorter trips until you know your real-world figure.

Will it fit through a standard doorway?

A trike is wider than a bike. Measure your doorway, gate and storage space against the trike's width before buying, because it will not squeeze through narrow gaps.

What comes in the box?

Typically the trike, battery, charger and basic tools, with some assembly required. Check the listing for included baskets or racks, since those vary.

E-trikes usually dip during spring sales, Black Friday and end-of-season clearance. The current best price is mid-range, so waiting for a holiday sale could save money.

Our take on the Mooncool Folding Electric Trike with 20" Fat Tires

The Mooncool Folding Electric Trike is an adult three-wheel e-trike with 20-inch fat tires, a folding frame and an orange finish. The fat tires and stable three-wheel layout suit riders who want balance at low speed or on loose surfaces, and the fold lets it fit in a garage corner or a car trunk. It is a heavy, wide machine, so plan storage and transport around its bulk. The latest best price sits in the middle of its recent range, so it is not a standout deal right now.
