Our take on the MOONSTARS 11 Inch Android Tablet 16GB RAM 128GB Gray

The MOONSTARS 11 Inch Android Tablet is a budget Android tablet with a 1280 x 800 screen, 16GB of RAM and 128GB of storage, listed in gray. The 11-inch panel is large for the price, but its resolution is low for that size, so text and video will look soft. The latest best price is $109.98 at Distritech as of November 2, essentially flat against the $109.99 high on November 1, so there is no meaningful discount to wait for.

Questions and answers

Is the MOONSTARS 11 inch tablet worth $109.98?
If you mainly want a large screen for video, reading and light browsing, it is a lot of screen for the money. Expect soft image quality and slow performance in heavy apps, so it is a poor fit as a main work tablet.
Is the screen sharp enough for an 11-inch tablet?
At 1280 x 800 on 11 inches, pixel density is roughly 137 ppi, well below the 200-plus ppi of most name-brand tablets. Text and small icons will look visibly soft.
Does it have cellular data?
No. It is listed as Wi-Fi only, so you need a Wi-Fi network or a phone hotspot to get online.
How much storage does it really have?
It is listed with 128GB of storage, and the listing also mentions 1TB, which likely refers to microSD expansion rather than built-in storage. Confirm the card slot before relying on it.
Has the price dropped recently?
No. It has moved only from $109.99 on November 1 to $109.98 on November 2 at Distritech, a one-cent change. Waiting is unlikely to save much.
What comes in the box?
The listing does not detail box contents. Budget tablets of this type usually ship with a charger and cable, but confirm with the store before buying.
