Our take on the Morento Small HEPA Air Purifier for Home with Fragrance Sponge

The Morento Small HEPA Air Purifier is a compact plug-in unit for bedrooms, offices and small living spaces, rated to cover up to 225 square feet. It uses a HEPA filter to trap fine particles and an odor-absorbing layer, plus a fragrance sponge so you can add a scent to the air it pushes out. The gray finish is plain enough to sit on a desk or nightstand without drawing attention.

Questions and answers

Is this purifier worth it for a bedroom?
For a bedroom under roughly 225 square feet, yes. It filters dust and pollen and adds a light scent if you use the sponge. It is not built for large or open rooms.
How often do I need to change the filter?
Most small HEPA purifiers want a new filter every 3 to 6 months, sooner with pets or heavy dust. Check the filter monthly and replace it when it darkens or airflow drops.
Does the fragrance sponge come with a scent?
The sponge is meant for you to add your own essential oil or fragrance. Scent strength depends on what you add, and you can leave it dry if you want no scent.
Will it help with pet hair and odors?
It will catch some hair and dander and the odor layer helps with mild pet smells. A single small unit will not keep up with several pets or a large room.
How loud is it?
Low speed is quiet enough for a nightstand. Higher speeds move more air but are clearly audible, so most people run it low overnight.
What size room does 225 square feet mean?
That is about a 15 by 15 foot room, or a typical bedroom. In larger or open spaces, expect weaker cleaning the farther you get from the unit.
