Our take on the Morex Ribbon Velvet Ribbon, Red

A 50-yard spool of 1.5-inch red velvet ribbon with wired edges, made from polyester faux velvet. The wired edge holds bows and loops in shape, which suits wreaths, garlands, gift wrap and tree decor. At $24.99 at foxwreathsupplies as of November 5, 2026, it is the lowest new price among the three stores that carry it.

Pros
  • 50 yards covers many wreaths and gifts from one spool
  • Wired edge holds bows and loops in place
  • 1.5-inch width works for wreaths, garlands and large bows
  • Solid red suits Christmas and Valentine's decor
  • Polyester velvet resists crushing better than cotton velvet
Cons
  • Faux velvet has a synthetic sheen, not the depth of real velvet
  • Wired edge must be removed before use on sewn projects
  • 1.5 inches is too wide for small bows and thin packages
  • Red may vary slightly between dye lots
