Our take on the MorningBlues Turntable & Display Speaker Bundle

The MorningBlues bundle pairs a belt-driven turntable with a 2.1-channel speaker system built around a 324 mm circular display. It plays vinyl and streams over Bluetooth (A2DP/AVRCP), with a rated frequency range of 50–20,000 Hz. At 14 kg (30.9 lbs) it is a stay-in-place setup rather than a portable one. It suits shoppers who want a record player and a display-style speaker in one purchase.

Questions and answers

Does the turntable need a separate amplifier or preamp?
The bundle includes a powered 2.1 speaker system, so the turntable connects to it directly. Check that the turntable's output matches the speaker's input; a built-in phono stage is not stated in the specs.
Can I stream music to it from my phone?
Yes. The speaker supports Bluetooth A2DP and AVRCP, so you can stream from phones, tablets and computers. It uses standard Bluetooth codecs, not high-resolution ones like aptX.
How big is the display speaker?
The circular display measures 324 mm across, roughly 12.8 inches. Plan for a wide shelf or stand, and keep in mind the whole bundle weighs about 30.9 lbs.
What is the frequency response?
The system is rated from 50 Hz to 20,000 Hz. That covers most music, but bass below 50 Hz will roll off compared with larger subwoofer setups.
Will it work with US outlets?
Yes. The input is 100–240 VAC at 50/60 Hz, so it works on US 120 V power. You may need a plug adapter if the unit ships with a non-US cord.
