Question 1

Is this flooring waterproof for a kitchen?

Accepted Answer

It is a plank floor with a matte brushed finish, not a waterproof vinyl. Wipe spills quickly and avoid standing water at seams.

Question 2

How is it installed?

Accepted Answer

It uses adhesive backing, so planks glue down to a prepared, level subfloor. That suits kitchens but makes removal harder later.

Question 3

What does GREENGUARD certified mean here?

Accepted Answer

It means the flooring meets GREENGUARD limits for indoor chemical emissions, which matters in kitchens and small rooms.

Question 4

Is $172.77 a good price?

Accepted Answer

It is the lowest of the three new prices we track as of November 6, 2026, at Unique Custom Floors. Compare per-square-foot cost before buying.

Question 5

How thick are the planks?

Accepted Answer

Each plank is 12 mm thick, which is on the thicker side for adhesive plank flooring and gives a solid feel.

Question 6

Does the brushed matte finish show dirt?

Accepted Answer

The matte brushed surface hides scratches and footprints well, but its texture can hold kitchen grease and crumbs, so sweep and damp-mop regularly.
