The mist comes from an atomizing element that turns water into a cool, fine spray without heating it into steam. To get started, remove the magnetic water tank, add purified or distilled water and attach it again. Using purified or distilled water helps avoid the mineral buildup that hard water can leave behind. Style on dry hair. Press and hold the power button to turn the tool on, then choose the temperature you want; the indicator stays lit when that setting is reached. Mist is off by default and has its own button. When mist is enabled, closing the plates starts a cycle of up to 10 seconds. Open and close them to begin another cycle as you move to the next section. The 360° swivel cord gives you room to change angles while styling. When your look is finished, press and hold the power button to turn the tool off.
