Our take on the MyBambino Open Top Toy Box

The MyBambino Open Top Toy Box is a small wooden toy bin with an open top, sold in Gray Elephant and Black finishes with optional personalization. At 23" wide, 13.5" deep and 14.75" tall, it is sized for a toddler's reach rather than for a whole playroom. It is built from MDF with a smooth, non-toxic, lead-free finish and has no lid, latch or lock. It is a niche, personalized-gift item rather than a mass-market storage brand, so pricing is usually set by the seller and varies little between stores.

Best forNursery or playroom storage for a toddlerA personalized baby shower or first-birthday gift
Quick cleanup of small toys, books and stuffed animals
Low-traffic spots like closets or a garage corner
Pros
  • Open top means no lid to lift, so kids can toss toys in themselves
  • Compact 23" x 13.5" footprint fits under a window or beside a crib
  • Personalized name or design makes it gift-ready
  • Smooth MDF with a non-toxic, lead-free finish
  • Animal theme in Gray Elephant or Black suits neutral nurseries
Cons
  • Only 14.75" tall, so it holds a modest amount of toys
  • No lid, lock or folding, so contents are always visible and dust-prone
  • MDF is not as durable as solid wood if it gets wet or knocked hard
  • No wheels or handles for moving a loaded box
  • Personalization usually means longer lead times and no returns

Questions and answers

Is the MyBambino Open Top Toy Box worth it?
It makes sense if you want a small, personalized bin for a toddler's room or as a gift. If you need to hold a large toy collection, a bigger lidded box costs less per cubic foot of storage.
How much does it hold?
The 23" x 13.5" x 14.75" interior suits small toys, books and stuffed animals. Expect it to fill quickly with larger items like ride-on toys or big building sets.
Can I personalize it?
Yes. The listing describes it as personalized with an animal theme. Personalization typically adds production time and can make the item non-returnable, so confirm the spelling before ordering.
Is it safe for a toddler's room?
The finish is described as non-toxic and lead-free, and there is no lid or latch to trap fingers. It is light MDF, though, so anchor or place it where a child cannot pull it over.
Does it have a lid or lock?
No. It is an open-top box with no lid, lock or folding mechanism. That keeps access easy but leaves contents visible and exposed to dust.
When is it cheapest?
Personalized wooden bins like this rarely get deep discounts. Watch for store-wide baby or nursery sales and holiday gift promotions rather than expecting a price drop on the item itself.
