Our take on the Naked Nutrition Chocolate Whey Protein Powder

Naked Nutrition Chocolate Whey is a grass-fed whey concentrate powder with just three ingredients: whey, organic cacao and organic coconut sugar. Each 31g scoop delivers 25g of protein, and the 5 lb tub holds about 30 servings. It is NSF Certified for Sport, so it is tested for banned substances. At $62.99 at Amazon as of November 3, 2026, it is the only new price listed, so there is no recent range to compare it against.

Buying protein in bulk at about 30 servings per tub
Pros
  • 25g protein per 31g scoop
  • Only three ingredients, no fillers or artificial sweeteners
  • Grass-fed whey concentrate
  • NSF Certified for Sport, a stricter standard than basic third-party testing
  • Sweetened with real organic cacao and coconut sugar
  • Made in the USA
Cons
  • About $2 per serving at the $62.99 price
  • Coconut sugar still adds sugar, roughly a few grams per scoop
  • Chocolate flavor comes from cocoa, so it is mild and not candy-sweet
  • 5 lb tub is large and the powder can clump over time
  • Mixing is thicker than with isolate-based powders

Questions and answers

Is it worth the price?
At $62.99 for about 30 servings, you pay roughly $2 per 25g of protein. That is high for whey concentrate, but you are paying for a three-ingredient formula and NSF Certified for Sport testing.
How does it compare with a whey isolate?
Concentrate keeps more milk components, so it is thicker and has slightly more carbs and fat per scoop. An isolate would be leaner and mix thinner, but usually has a longer ingredient list.
Does it contain much sugar?
It is sweetened with organic coconut sugar, so it does contain added sugar, though less than most flavored whey powders. Check the nutrition panel for the exact grams per scoop.
Is it suitable for lactose intolerance?
It is whey concentrate, which contains some lactose. People with lactose intolerance may prefer a whey isolate or a lactose-free protein.
What is in the tub?
A 5 lb tub of chocolate whey powder with about 30 servings. A scoop is included; a shaker bottle is not.
When is it cheapest?
The only new price listed is $62.99 at Amazon as of November 3, 2026. Bulk tubs like this tend to drop during Subscribe & Save promotions and seasonal sales.
