Our take on the NBD 2.7K 48MP Digital Camera with 32GB SD Card

The NBD is a budget point-and-shoot camcorder-style camera with a 48MP CMOS sensor, a fixed 52mm lens, 16x digital zoom and a 3-inch screen. It records video up to 2.7K/4K UHD (interpolated) and stills at 48MP, and includes Wi-Fi, a USB-C cable and a 32GB SDHC card in a gift-set box. It weighs 0.8 lb and runs about 120 minutes per charge. It is an entry-level camera aimed at casual video and travel use, not a replacement for a phone or a DSLR.

Questions and answers

Is the 48MP resolution real?
The sensor is a small CMOS unit, and 48MP stills are interpolated from a lower native resolution. Expect phone-level detail, not DSLR detail.
Does it have optical zoom?
No. The lens is fixed at 52mm, and the 16x zoom is digital, so image quality drops as you zoom in.
What comes in the box?
The gift set includes the camera, a 32GB SDHC card, a USB-C cable and a USB power adapter.
Can I use it for vlogging?
It can record casual clips and has a 3-inch screen, but the fixed lens and small sensor limit quality indoors and in low light.
How long does the battery last?
The listed battery life is about 120 minutes per charge, which is roughly typical for a camera in this class.
Is it better than a phone camera?
Usually not for stills. A recent phone takes better photos; this camera mainly appeals as a cheap, dedicated video device for beginners.
What do buyers say about the NBD 2.7K 48MP Digital Camera with 32GB SD Card?
Rated 3.2 out of 5 from 70 ratings.
