Is $677.99 a good price for the Nectar King?

It is at the low end of recent pricing for this mattress, so it is a strong buy if you want a King. Nectar mattresses often sell higher during peak season.

How firm is the Nectar mattress?

It is medium-firm. Most back and side sleepers find it supportive, but stomach sleepers and very heavy sleepers may want something firmer.

Does the Nectar sleep hot?

The gel-infused top layer helps, and most owners say it sleeps cooler than older memory foam. It is still foam, so hot sleepers should use a breathable cover.

What comes in the box?

The mattress arrives compressed and rolled in a box. You unroll it, let it expand for about 24 to 48 hours, and it is ready to sleep on.

Does it work on an adjustable base?

Yes. A 10-inch foam mattress bends fine on an adjustable base, and it also works on a slatted frame or platform bed.

Best forBack and side sleepers who like a medium-firm foam feelShoppers who want a King mattress under $700Couples who want motion isolationGuest rooms and rentals where a boxed mattress is easy to move

Pros

Gel-infused memory foam helps limit heat buildup
Medium-firm feel suits a wide range of sleepers
Good motion isolation for couples
Ships compressed in a box, easy to carry upstairs
CertiPUR-US certified foams

Cons

10 inches is thinner than many foam mattresses, so support is modest for heavy sleepers
Foam edges compress, so the usable sleep surface is narrower than a King suggests
Off-gassing smell is common for the first few days
Not the mattress for people who want a bouncy, spring-like feel
