Is $599 a good price for the MacBook Air 13-inch?

Yes. $599 at UCLA Store as of November 7, 2026 is the lowest new price among the four stores listing it, well below what this model usually sells for.

Is 8 GB of RAM enough?

For browsing, email, writing and video calls, yes. If you keep dozens of tabs open or edit photos and video, the 8 GB fills up and the machine slows, so consider more memory.

Should I get 256 GB or 512 GB?

Choose 512 GB if you store photos, videos or games locally. The 256 GB drive is fine for cloud-first users but leaves little room to grow.

Does it have a headphone jack?

Yes. It has a 3.5 mm jack plus USB-C ports for charging and accessories.

How long does the battery last?

Apple rates it at up to 16 hours. Owners typically get a full workday of mixed use before needing to charge.

What comes in the box?

The laptop and a USB-C charging cable and power adapter. No mouse or case is included.
