Our take on the Netaje 10' x 15' Outdoor Heavy-Duty Metal Carport

The Netaje 10' x 15' is a heavy-duty outdoor carport with a galvanized steel roof, an aluminum frame and a reinforced base. It stands about 100.8 inches tall and covers 150 square feet, enough for a car, a small boat or a covered work area. The roof panels use sealant strips to keep water out. It is a budget-tier structure, and its 3.2-star rating from 23 ratings suggests buyers have mixed experiences.

Best forParking one car or a small boat off the streetCovered storage for lawn and garden equipmentA shaded workspace or hobby areaBuyers who want a metal roof instead of fabric
Pros
  • Galvanized steel roof resists rust better than bare steel
  • Aluminum frame keeps the structure lighter than all-steel kits
  • Reinforced base adds stability at the ground line
  • Sealant strips along the roof help shed rain
  • 10 x 15 footprint fits a full-size car with room to walk around
Cons
  • Mixed owner feedback, 3.2 out of 5 from 23 ratings
  • Aluminum frame is lighter and less rigid than steel in high wind
  • No side walls or doors included, so it is open on the sides
  • Assembly of a 15-foot metal structure is a multi-person job
  • Anchoring to concrete or ground anchors is essential, not optional

What reviewers say

Ratings are middling at 3.2 out of 5, and the pattern in owner feedback is that the frame and roof do the job once properly anchored, but assembly and wind resistance draw complaints.

Pros
  • Sturdy once assembled and anchored
  • Metal roof holds up better than fabric canopies
  • Good value for the covered space it provides
Cons
  • Instructions and assembly are difficult

Questions and answers

Is the Netaje carport worth it compared with a fabric canopy?
If you want a permanent metal roof, yes. A steel-roof carport outlasts a fabric canopy and does not pool water the same way. Expect to spend a weekend assembling it and to anchor it properly.
Will it fit my car?
The footprint is 10 by 15 feet with about 100.8 inches of height, so a standard sedan, SUV or pickup fits with room to open doors. Measure your vehicle's length plus clearance before ordering.
Can it handle snow and high wind?
The galvanized roof and sealant strips handle rain well, but the aluminum frame is lighter than steel. Clear heavy snow off the roof and anchor the base to concrete or ground anchors in windy areas.
Does it come with side walls or a door?
No. It is an open-sided structure with a roof and frame only. Side panels and doors are not part of the kit, so it will not fully enclose a vehicle.
What is in the box?
The kit includes the aluminum frame, galvanized steel roof panels, sealant strips and base hardware. Check the parts list on arrival, since missing or damaged pieces are a common complaint.
When is the price lowest?
Carports like this tend to drop in late fall and winter, outside the spring and summer outdoor-project season. Check the price history before buying.
