Is this screen worth it over a plain white screen?

For a UST laser projector in a room with windows or lights, yes. The ALR Fresnel surface and 1.5 gain keep the image brighter and more contrasty than a standard matte white screen. In a fully dark room the advantage is smaller.

Will it work with my regular long-throw projector?

No. It is designed for ultra short throw laser projectors. A long-throw projector mounted across the room will produce a dim, uneven image on a Fresnel surface.

What is the best seating position?

Sit within about 50° of center for full gain. The screen lists a 150° viewing angle, but brightness and color fall off toward the edges, so wide side seats see a dimmer image.

How big is the 120-inch screen in a room?

A 120-inch 16:9 image is about 105 inches wide and 59 inches tall. Add the frame and bezel, and plan for a wall area roughly 9 feet wide.

Can it be ceiling mounted?

Yes, the screen supports wall and ceiling mounting. At 12 kg, use anchors rated for the load and check that the frame clears any ceiling light fixtures.

When is the price likely to be lowest?

Projector screens usually drop during Black Friday, Prime Day and back-to-school sales. Watch the price history on this page and buy when it sits near the recent low.

Our take on the NexiGo 120" ALR Fresnel Projector Screen

The NexiGo 120" ALR Fresnel Projector Screen is a fixed-frame screen built for ultra short throw laser projectors. Its Fresnel lens with an 8-layer optical structure rejects overhead and side light and claims 1.5 gain, so a UST projector can sit close to the wall and still produce a bright 16:9 image. The 0.33-inch bezel keeps the frame nearly invisible. It weighs 12 kg and mounts on a wall or ceiling. No current price was provided, so check the latest store listings before deciding.
