Is the NEXPURE automatic curler worth it?

It suits shoppers who find manual wands hard to use, since the barrel wraps hair for you. If you already curl easily by hand, a plain 1-inch wand costs less and heats faster.

How is it different from a standard curling wand?

The barrel rotates to pull hair in and wrap it, instead of you winding hair around a hot surface. The 1-inch ceramic barrel and 480°F top heat are typical of standard wands.

Can I use it on wet hair?

Yes, it is rated for wet or dry use. Damp hair takes longer to set and may need a higher heat setting, so most people get better results on dry hair.

How long does it take to heat up?

The listed time to full heat is 30 minutes. That is slow compared with many curling irons that heat in under a minute, so switch it on before you start styling.

What size curls does the 1-inch barrel make?

A 1-inch barrel makes medium curls and loose waves. For tighter curls look for a smaller barrel; for big waves, a larger one.

The curler with its fixed cord. No heat glove or travel case is listed, so check the packaging if you need those.

Our take on the NEXPURE Automatic Hair Curler 1 Inch Ceramic Rotating Barrel

The NEXPURE Automatic Hair Curler is a rotating 1-inch ceramic barrel that pulls hair in and wraps it for you, so you don't have to twist the wand by hand. It has four heat settings up to 480°F and is rated for wet or dry use. The 1-inch barrel makes medium curls and loose waves on most hair lengths. It takes up to 30 minutes to reach full heat, which is slow for a curling tool.
