Is this lens compatible with Z-mount cameras?

Yes, it can be used on Nikon Z-mount mirrorless cameras via the FTZ or FTZ II mount adapter with full autofocus support.

What is the difference between the 8mm and 15mm settings?

At 8mm on a full-frame camera, it creates a circular image in the center of the frame; at 15mm, it fills the entire rectangular frame with a fisheye perspective.

Can I use standard screw-on filters?

No, the bulbous front element prevents the use of standard front filters, though it includes a specialized hood and cap system.

Is it worth the price compared to the old 16mm prime?

For professionals, yes, as it offers better sharpness, weather sealing, and the added flexibility of the 8mm circular focal length.
