How is this different from the original Creami?

The original Creami spins frozen pints into scooped ice cream. The Scoop & Swirl adds a dispensing lid and swirl press plus six soft serve programs, so it can push soft serve out of the pint instead of only scooping.

Do I have to freeze the pints overnight?

Yes. You fill a pint with your base and freeze it flat for about 24 hours before processing. The machine spins or dispenses the frozen block; it does not freeze liquid itself.

Can I make dairy-free or vegan ice cream?

Yes. The programs work with oat, almond, coconut and other plant bases, and you control the recipe. Very low-fat or high-water bases can come out icy, so use a recipe built for the machine.

What comes in the box?

Motor base, two 16 oz Creami 2-in-1 pints with nozzles and storage lids, a dispensing lid with swirl press, outer bowl and lid, creamerizer paddle and a pull-out drip tray.

Is it worth it over a regular ice cream maker?

If you want thick soft serve and single-serving pints without churning, yes. A traditional churn-style maker handles larger batches and liquid bases, but it cannot match the Creami's dense, scoopable texture.
