Is the Ninja SLUSHi Max worth it?

If you make frozen drinks for groups often, the 150-oz vessel and 12-hour keep-frozen mode justify the price. For occasional single servings, a blender with ice is cheaper and takes less space.

How is it different from the original Ninja SLUSHi?

The Max is the larger version, with a 150-oz vessel and about 12 servings versus the smaller original's batch size. It also adds more programs and temperature settings.

Do I need to add ice?

No. The vessel is pre-chilled and freezes the liquid mix itself, so you pour in your drink and the machine does the rest.

How long does it take to make a batch?

It depends on the program and starting temperature, but expect a wait while the vessel chills the mix. Plan ahead rather than expecting instant slush.

Can I make alcoholic frozen drinks in it?

Yes, it is designed to handle cocktails as well as slushies, though high-proof alcohol freezes more slowly. Follow the included ratios for the best texture.

When is the best time to buy it?

The best new price was $331.99 at eBay as of November 5, 2026. Frozen-drink makers usually drop around Black Friday and in late spring, so compare across the 3 stores listing it.
