Our take on the Nippon Blue 4 Piece Rice Bowl Gift Set

The Nippon Blue 4 Piece Rice Bowl Gift Set is a set of four ceramic bowls, each 4.5 inches wide, 3 inches tall and holding 10 fl oz. The size suits rice, dessert and small sides, and the bowls are both microwave and dishwasher safe. It is sold as a gift set, so the four bowls come as one purchase rather than open stock.

Questions and answers

Is this bowl set worth it?
If you want four matching bowls for rice or dessert, the set covers that in one purchase. Buyers who need larger bowls for soup or pasta should size up.
Are the bowls microwave and dishwasher safe?
Yes. The ceramic bowls are listed as both microwave safe and dishwasher safe, so reheating rice and cleaning up are straightforward.
How much rice fits in one bowl?
Each bowl holds 10 fl oz, roughly a standard single serving of cooked rice. It is a rice or dessert bowl, not a large soup bowl.
What is included in the gift set?
Four ceramic bowls, each 4.5 inches in diameter and 3 inches high. No plates, lids or utensils are part of the set.
Can I use these bowls for soup or cereal?
They work for small portions of cereal or dessert. For a full bowl of soup, the 10 fl oz capacity is on the small side.
