Is the Oakley Meta HSTN worth it?

If you already wear sport sunglasses and want hands-free video and audio, it replaces two devices. If you mainly want sunglasses, a plain HSTN frame costs far less and never needs charging.

How long does the battery really last?

The rated up to 8 hours assumes mixed use with light recording. Expect noticeably less when you shoot video or take long calls, so plan on charging most days you record.

Can I put my prescription in it?

Yes. The frame supports prescriptions from -6.00 to +6.00, so most common prescriptions fit. High-cylinder or very strong prescriptions may fall outside that range.

How is it different from the Ray-Ban Meta glasses?

Same Meta camera and audio platform, but the Oakley HSTN is a sport wrap with Prizm lenses and a grippier fit for activity. Ray-Ban Meta styles are more everyday and fashion-oriented.

What comes in the box?

Expect the glasses, a charging case and a cleaning cloth. Confirm the exact bundle with the store, since some listings add a lens cloth or extra case.

Meta eyewear tends to discount around major sales events and when a new generation is announced. Watch the price history and buy when it dips below its recent range.

Our take on the Oakley Meta HSTN glasses

The Oakley Meta HSTN is a sport sunglasses frame with Meta's camera and open-ear audio built in, sold with Prizm Ruby lenses. It records up to 3K video, handles calls and music, and takes prescription lenses from -6.00 to +6.00. Battery life is rated up to 8 hours, which assumes light use; heavy video recording drains it much faster. No current price was provided, so check the live comparison for where it sits against its recent range.
