Our take on the OIXDESIGN Square Travertine Coffee Table

A square coffee table carved from Italian Classico Travertine, top and body in the same stone, handcrafted and part of OIXDESIGN's SquareSoft collection. Travertine is a porous limestone with visible pits and veining, so each table reads slightly differently. It is solid natural stone, which means real weight and a surface that needs coasters and sealing. The best new price is $1,199 at oixdesign as of November 3, 2026, and only one store lists it new, so there is no discount history to compare against.

Pros
  • Solid Italian Classico Travertine top and body
  • Handcrafted, so veining and tone vary from piece to piece
  • Square shape suits corner sofas and symmetrical layouts
  • Natural stone holds up to heat and everyday use better than veneer
  • Neutral beige-gray tone works with most palettes
Cons
  • Very heavy; plan for two people and check floor loading
  • Travertine pits and stains unless sealed; spills need quick wiping
  • Only one new listing at $1,199, so no price competition
  • Sharp stone edges and hard surface are unforgiving with toddlers
  • No storage and little flexibility in placement

Questions and answers

Is $1,199 a good price for this table?
It is the only new price listed as of November 3, 2026, so there is nothing to compare it to. Comparable solid travertine coffee tables from design brands often run $1,000 to $2,500, which puts this in the middle of that band.
Is travertine practical for a coffee table?
Yes, with care. Travertine is durable stone, but its natural pits trap spills and it etches with acids like wine and citrus. Seal it and use coasters.
How heavy is a solid travertine table like this?
OIXDESIGN does not publish a weight here, but solid stone tables of this size typically run well over 100 pounds. Move it with two people and a furniture dolly, and avoid dragging it across wood floors.
Does the stone look exactly like the photos?
No. Each table is handcrafted from natural travertine, so veining, pitting and color shift between pieces. Expect variation rather than an exact match.
What is included with the table?
The listing does not detail the box contents. Confirm with the seller whether a sealer, felt pads or a sample swatch is included before ordering.
Can it be used outdoors?
It is listed for indoor use. Freeze-thaw cycles and weather can damage travertine, so keep it inside.
