Is 9000 lumens too bright for a residential yard?

For a large driveway or back lot it is reasonable. Mounted low near a door or patio it will glare into windows and neighboring yards. Aim it outward and mount it high, around 10 to 15 feet.

How much does it cost to run all night?

At 100W it uses about 1 kWh per 10 hours of darkness, so roughly 0.1 kWh a night. At a typical US rate of about 15 cents per kWh that is under 2 cents a night, around $5 to $6 a year.

Does it work without a motion sensor?

Yes. The photocell turns it on at dusk and off at dawn on its own. There is no motion detection, so it stays at full brightness all night.

What wiring does it need?

It needs a standard 120V hardwired circuit, the same as most outdoor floods. It is not a plug-in unit, so plan on a junction box and, ideally, a licensed electrician.

Can it be used indoors?

The listing allows indoor use, but 9000 lumens of 6500K light is far too much for a room. It suits a garage, shop or warehouse ceiling, not living space.

When is the price lowest?

Outdoor security lights tend to dip during spring and fall home-improvement sales and around Black Friday. Compare the current price against its recent range before buying.
