Our take on the Onforu 90W 4 Heads Dusk to Dawn LED Security Lights BD110

The Onforu BD110 is a hardwired outdoor floodlight with four adjustable LED heads, 10,000 lumens of output and a 90W draw. A built-in photocell switches it on at dusk and off at dawn, so it works without a motion sensor or smart app. The 6500K daylight color is very cool and very bright, which suits large yards and driveways but can glare in tight spaces. It is IP66 rated for wet locations. No current price was provided for this page, so check the live comparison before buying.

Questions and answers

Is 10,000 lumens too bright for a small yard?
Yes, for a porch or small patio it will likely glare into windows and bother neighbors. It fits driveways, side yards and large backyards better.
Does it have a motion sensor?
No. It uses a dusk-to-dawn photocell only, so it turns on at dark and stays on until morning.
Can I use it with a dimmer or smart switch?
No. It is designed for a standard on/off switch, and dimming or smart-switch tricks can confuse the photocell.
What color temperature is the light?
6500K, a cool daylight white. It reads blue-white compared with 4000K or 3000K fixtures.
Does it need special wiring?
It is hardwired to a standard outdoor junction box and needs a ground wire. If you are not comfortable with line voltage, hire an electrician.
When is it cheapest?
Outdoor lighting tends to drop around spring and fall sales and during Black Friday. Watch the price history for a dip below the recent range.
