Our take on the Onson Robot Vacuum Cleaner

The Onson Robot Vacuum Cleaner is a 2-in-1 robot vacuum and mop with a 230 ml water tank, HEPA filtration, and app, remote, Alexa and Google Assistant control. It runs a zig-zag route with Spot, Edge and Manual modes, and its brushless inlet is aimed at pet hair. Suction is listed as 1400PA in the specs but 8000 PA on the product page, so treat the higher figure with caution. It is a budget-tier robot; no current price was provided, so check the latest price against its recent range before buying.

Questions and answers

Is the Onson robot vacuum worth it?
It suits budget buyers with mostly hard floors and low rugs. Expect frequent dustbin emptying and some rug trouble; it is not a deep-clean replacement for a full vacuum.
What is the real suction power?
The specs list 1400PA while the product page claims 8000 PA. The gap is large, so judge it by owner reports of pet hair pickup rather than either number alone.
Does it work well on carpets?
It handles low-pile rugs and carpets, but owners report it can jam or get stuck on thicker rugs. Keep high-pile carpets out of its route.
How long does the battery last and how long to charge?
The 2500mAh lithium battery is rated for up to 120 minutes of runtime and about 1 hour to charge. Real runtime drops with suction set high or mopping on.
Does it work with Alexa and Google Assistant?
Yes. It supports both, plus app and remote control, so you can start cleaning by voice.
What comes in the box?
Expect the robot, a charging dock, a remote and a water tank for mopping. Check the listing for spare brushes and filters before ordering.
