Questions and answers

Is the OpenRoads Cool 6 good for hot sleepers?
It uses a cooling gel infusion in the memory foam and a knit cover, which helps reduce heat buildup. It is still an all-foam mattress, so a breathable topper or cool room helps further.
Is this mattress too firm for side sleepers?
It is rated firm, which most side sleepers find too hard at the shoulders and hips. Back and stomach sleepers usually do better on it.
Does it fit an RV?
Yes. The 60x80 inch queen size is a common RV and camper mattress size, and OpenRoads lists it for RV use.
Do I need a box spring or foundation?
No foundation is included. It works on a flat platform, slats or an RV bed base; a box spring is not required.
Is $275 a good price?
As of November 4, 2026, $275 at RV Discount Mattress is the only new price listed, so there is no lower store price to compare against. Check the price history before buying to see if it has dropped below that.
