Our take on the OPPO A5 5G
The OPPO A5 5G is a budget Android phone with a 6.7-inch 120Hz screen, 5G, dual SIM and a 50MP main camera. It pairs 4GB RAM and 128GB storage with a water-resistant body and fast charging, and at 6.84 oz it is light for its screen size. It is an entry-level 5G model, so expect modest performance rather than speed. No current price was supplied, so check the live comparison for where it sits against its recent range.

Questions and answers
- Is the OPPO A5 5G worth it?
- For basic use it is a reasonable budget 5G pick: big 120Hz screen, 50MP camera and water resistance. If you game or multitask heavily, spend more for 8GB RAM.
- Is 4GB RAM enough?
- For calls, messaging, video and a few apps at once, yes. Expect apps to reload when you switch between many of them, and avoid heavy games.
- Does it have a microSD slot?
- The listed specs show 128GB storage but do not confirm a card slot. Check the listing or OPPO's spec page before relying on expansion.
- How is the battery and charging?
- Fast charging is supported, but battery capacity is not stated in the specs. Check the listed battery figure before buying if endurance matters to you.
- Is it dual SIM and unlocked?
- Yes. It is sold unlocked with dual nano-SIM support and 5G, so it works with most GSM carriers.
- When is it cheapest?
- Budget OPPO phones usually drop during sales events and when a successor launches. Watch the price history on this page for the low point.
