Is the Ororo Thermolite Heated Parka worth it?

It is worth it if you spend time outdoors in real cold and want adjustable heat without heavy layering. If you mostly move between heated spaces, a standard insulated parka costs less and weighs less.

How long does the battery last?

Runtime depends on the heat setting; expect several hours on low and noticeably less on high. Cold weather shortens battery life, so charge it the night before use.

Can I wash the parka?

Yes, it is machine washable, but remove the battery pack and follow the care label for the wiring. Air dry rather than tumble dry to protect the heating elements.

Does it run true to size?

It has a relaxed fit, so most shoppers can take their usual size and still layer a sweater underneath. Size down if you want a closer fit.

Does it come with the battery and charger?

The parka ships with a rechargeable battery pack; check the listing for whether a charger is included. The battery is removable for washing and charging.

Heated outerwear tends to drop in price after the winter season and during pre-season sales. Track the price history and buy when it falls below its recent range.
